Festival íránských filmů will be back once again and for the 5th time from 13th to 17th of January 2016 in Prague and on 19th and 20th of January 2016 in Brno.

Kino Světozor, Bio Oko and Kino Lucerna in Prague and Kino Scala in Brno will host the festival in the 2nd and 3rd week of January and a number of additional side-event will be introduced for the first time to the program of the festival.

What started in 2012 as the presentation of Iranian cinematography is now developing into an interactive presentation of Iranian art and this year, the audience of the festival can expect to have the chance to visit not only film screenings, but also a painting exhibition, a poster exhibition, a theatre performance and a music performance all during the time of festival in January. Again this year we will have competitions in several categories, international jury, interesting guests and we will follow up with our successful industry program for film professionals.

The festival will also include for the second time the night of Afghan Cinema with two of the most successful films from this controversial country and its prominent artists.

The program of the festival is in process now and a rich list of some the best art-house works of the last 2 years of Iranian cinematography in feature film, documentary and short films will build the main line up the festival program along with an out of competition program which brings to the audience a handpicked choice of the outstanding films of the Iranian cinema from the past.

The program of the festival will be published at the beginning of December.
