Nominated for the Golden Globes 2014, The Past tells the story of an Iranian who travels to Paris to finish the divorce procedures with his ex-wife. Lost in the netwerk of relationships around him, he tries to bring some peace to his turbulant former wife without realizing that with every step he takes, a dark family secret comes to surface.

Born in 1972, Asghar Farhadi is one of the acclaimed directors of the Iranian cinema and is known for successful titles such as A Separation and About Elly. The Past is Farhadi’s latest work which premiered in Cannes Film Festival and received the prestigious Prize of the Ecumenical Jury along with the award for the best actress for Bérénice Bejo.
